It's a very well made pump that really help to flow the water of the tank. The sponge stores dirt and waste of food, enough to clean the sponge occasionally, and the active carbon helps to keep the water looking cleaned and no smelling. I didn't like the rain mode to oxigen the water, I'm using the adaptor that comes with the pump to do bubles without the plastic tube. I really reccomend this item.
