very fast shipment, good design
Just 3 days shipment to Thailand. I bought a G2 160w replace of my 250w mh with radium 20000k bulb.

Color temp around 15000k it's come with cold light so I can put it very near to water and it's make less light outside tank. Very happy with that coz I will never hurt my eye anymore.

After I finish this reveiw I'm going to order more unit for my ricodia tank.

Review after 5 months use
After about 5 months use it is time for a small update on my previous review of Dec. 13th:
The two 110w led units have shown excellent performance: Before installing the Maxspect Led lights the temperature of the tank was always a bit too high (31C) because of the T5-tubes I used.
Since installing the Maxspect Led lights the temperature does not increase during the day anymore and has fallen to a lower level (25C-26C). My soft corals have really benefited from a more stable temperature and a better light spectrum. Previously I lost a soft coral once in a while for no obvious reason, but for the last five months I haven't lost a single coral. I expect to be able to run the tank without chiller this summer.
BTW: Fish-Street customer service is second to none, shipping the new high-quality silent replacement fans free of charge in the fall.

WOW AMAZING!
I bought two G2-230s for my 150 gallon reef tank replacing 3-250 watt metal halides with actinic lighting. Shipment took only 3 days to California. Lights are very well built (great quality) and really light up my tank. Great color and excellent coverage and awesome light penetration. Way better than my metal halides. It has been a great experience working with Eric at Fish-Street. Super Customer service!

110w
perfetta per il mio cubo 60x60x60 cm. La luce attinica è di un blu intenso. i coori sono esaltati. molto silenziosa. L'ho sostituita alla 150w hqi con 2t5 da 24.

What a great product
I must say, i was little skeptik against buying online from asia. But what a nice suprise i made.
The product is way over my expectations.
It`s a incredible lamp, and im kind of embarried that i didnt buy it earlier.

Fish-street and the serivice :

Im not sure how many of you have bought a lamp or any other product from a online seller before. Normaly you order and get the lamp some days/weeks later without getting any notice. From the guys at fish street you get so much more. First of all i got a mail giving me all the payment detailes. Then i got a shipping notice and the dhl tracking number.
I also had some other questions regarding the shipping and got a fast reply within hours.
Im more then impressed how they handeled the order. And for my concern this is going to be an ongoing relationship.

Within the next week after some more testing of the lamp. We are going to order at least 5 -10 more. The corals are getting a much better color, and everything is getting alot just great.

So if anyone are concerned about buying the lamp from this reseller, let me know. And i will personaly vouch for them.

For a simple led lamp it is great
I am using 1 110W on a 225L mixed reeftank (2 foot cube) and am pleased with the light. A couple of niggling issues, but overall bery happy.

The redesigned fans run very silently.

I replaced a pendant fitting with 150W MH and 2 x 24W T5's. The Maxspect unit isnt as bright in the centre of the tank, but the light is bluer and more evenly spread, giving less shadowing from my central rock structure. Overall the 2 lamps are roughly equivalent.

The main reason for going LED was heat, my tank would frequently get to 31c, and we have yet to hit the hottest part of summer yet in Australia, the Maxspect unit should allow me to run chillerless and maintain temperate < 30c.

No globes to replace every 9 months and less power used and I believe it will pay for itself in a year or so.

Programming on ballast is pretty basic, single on and off daily for both Blue and white. My biggest fault with the light is that in the case of a power outage both lights will come back on when the power is resumed regardless of the programming.
