I've been using this product in-conjunction with ADA ECA, the ECA keeps the plants growing well while Green Gain improves the new growths and actually promotes stability in newly trimmed and planted plants. The added plant hormones actually promote plants to grow new shoots.
Each time you plant or trim a plant, the plants goes through a settling stage. In this stage, the plant will lose some leaves and will not grow. Green gain will actually calm down the plant, and promote them to grow. A very good product to use for all planted aquarists.
